The Battle of Five Armies comes to its epic conclusion—this time, anyway…
The battle continues between the forces of good and evil on the slopes and plains before the Lonely Mountain! What an excellent and entertaining game it was. We did of course make one rather large rules mistake which it is unnecessary to detail, but it didn’t effect our enjoyment at all—suffice to say that the final victor might have been very different if we’d remembered to put a few misplaced Fate tiles back in the bag … but never mind, great fun was had by all, and I think these two videos give you a pretty good idea of the tension and excitement, the huge highs and crushing lows, to be had in a typical game of The Battle of Five Armies. Well done Ares Games, another winner!
