The Joy of Unboxing: Infinity Operation Icestorm

I’m sorry, John, but you’re going to have to run again.

Let’s check out the contents of a copy of Infinity: Operation Icestorm.

I certainly have a wide selection of miniatures tabletop skirmish games and wasn’t really thinking of getting another, but Infinity seems to have such a good reputation among its players that I couldn’t resist picking up this new starter set. It includes a cut-down set of rules (the full rules are available ffrom the Corvus Belli website, a basic paper play mat and card buildings, and, most exciting of all, 14 gorgeously detailed metal miniatures.

Look out for a battle report video or two coming soon that will show you two newbies to this game learning and playing the first three scenarios in the book. In the meantime, let’s unbox that sucker!

Quick work on those miniatures. 10 seconds to assemble and prime!

Do you pin all your miniatures? Been having a hell of time pinning some warmachine metals as their arms are so thin. And resin are so delicate…

    • Yeah, not bad huh!? 🙂 No, I didn’t pin them. They fit together very nicely and I think super glue will be enough to hold them, barring a drop to the floor from table height.

After you’ve played a few games, would be interesting to get your thoughts and a comparison between Infinity and Deadzone.
