ParticipantChronicle X is racing through funding, already unlocked 7 stretch goals.
1 vs many (2-7 player) with an option for solo unlocking at 100K (it’s at 93K as I type).
Looks interesting and I like the detail they have put into the miniature bases.

If you back in the first 48 hours you get a bonus miniature.

KeymasterLove the textured bases, that’s a nice idea.
They’re definitely taking a lot of ‘inspiration’ from X-Com.
Not so impressed by the graphic design.
I’m not really interested in the ‘one vs many’ mechanic in games like this anymore.I might not be good with risk, but I find it very difficult to back Kickstarter campaigns by relatively unknown publishers.
But mostly, I’m overloaded with miniatures to paint and I don’t think I should add any more to the queue!

ParticipantI have more miniatures to paint than I have time at the moment and even more to assemble. I’m shifting focus away from painting board game miniatures (except the heroes/bosses) and back to skirmish/RPG stuff.
Although I have backed it, I may drop out before the end. Need to see a gameplay video, not just a how to play.
Edit: I just had a look at their previous projects. Some backer still waiting and not getting response from them. I don’t want another Rail Raiders Infinite project that gets delay after delay. And they still haven’t delivered to UK backers.
Ah… apparently Archon are related to Prodos and have dealings with ninja division and thus soda pop games.
Prodos involved in intellectual property dispute over Aliens vs Predator…
Cancelling my pledge. I can always buy at retail if I still want it. I know I will get less stuff, but I don’t need the hassle of waiting for backer stuff while it’s in the high street.

ParticipantYeah. It’s Prodos trying to wipe out the stench from AvP by using another name.
It’s a pity… the minis for this look good. But as you said, not sure of the gameplay. Maybe I can use them to proxy for my Level 7 Omega Protocol minis which are… shall we say… a bit wanting 😉

ParticipantDidn’t Prodos do the porno version of Space Hulk that never appeared?
If Chronicle X makes it to retail, I may pick it up, but I don’t want to have the same aggro I got getting refund out of soda pox over rail raiders unfortunate… and UK/eu backers still haven’t got their copies yet.

KeymasterGood research!

Participant@8th : Prodos have a particularly skimpily clad version of female space marines available on their web site. You provide the rest of the game 😀

ParticipantI think it was supposed to be a full game at some point.
