I played the (redesigned graphic version) of Glory to Rome once – I found it just the kind of game I don’t like. Can’t remember why but it was probably too mathy.
I think it is a superb game, we played several games back to back last xmas when the kids were visiting, the most enthusiastic I have been about a new game since discovering ASL many years ago. Phil has since become one of my favourite designers, BIOS Megafauna our most played game. Love his artwork, to my eye it is lovely detail rather than clutter.
to clarify, by it I meant High Frontier.
Managed to get a game in on Saturday. It was my first time playing the advanced game. I’m looking forward to using the Colonisation rules next time.
Also Greenland arrived yesterday! That is getting out to the table ASAP!
Great theme for that Greenland one, but oh dear, the graphic design is so poor.
