Yes, the *^#%*&#^ spammers found us. I was swamped with a wave of fake registrations today. As usual, searching for a simple solution for stopping them in bbPress is like wading through a world-sized pool of rotten treacle. The bbPress site is useless and other solutions are either outdated, no longer supported or horribly confusing.
Why does it have to be so hard? Anyone would think this wasn’t a common problem.
Anyway, new forum registrations are temporarily suspended until I work out a solution – which will probably mean I’ll have to enter new registrations manually from now on, thus taking even more of my time. If you’re eager to join and can’t wait, send me a message via the Contact page.
