ParticipantO.K., no problem. I was just looking for few items to round out my collection.

ParticipantHello UH,
Were you able to confirm that email address you listed as the contact for those AT-43 and Confrontation sets?
I sent an email (2) days, and have not yet received a response. Thanks.

ParticipantLights go out in the forum? Are the forums going to be officially closing?

ParticipantI agree. It is a good little game! I have Fury of Dracula as well (which is awesome), but i think JAWS will hit the table more often because of the points you mention.

ParticipantI will admit it is “fairly” basic – but very fun!! (And not expensive at all)
What really did it for me is they wrapped the theme of the movie into the game very well (the Amity event cards, the abilities of Brody, Hooper and Quint in Act 1, etc.).
Act 1 is a hidden movement game between the shark and the humans. Act 2 does a great job keeping the human players in suspense as the shark is systematically ripping apart the boat (and chomping on the humans if they fall overboard). I really got “into” the game when playing it.
For a “mainstream” boardgame release – this one is pretty good; especially if you are a fan of the movie.

ParticipantI totally understand UH!! I had backed Massive Darkness on KS, and found it to be a “Massive Disappointment” – so i sold it off. I also sold off my Descent 2.0 core game and replaced it with Star Wars: Imperial Assault. Come to think of it, currently i really do not have many Fantasy Dungeon Crawlers at all!!
I own Space Hulk and love it, but it is Sci-Fi. I own Conan, but that is not really a Fantasy Dungeon Crawl.

ParticipantI watched playthroughs of AQ today, and while it certainly looks “Heroquest-like” on the surface, it does not play at all like Heroquest. The Altar dice mechanic seems pretty cool that players and the monsters can draw from, and there seems like there are alot of decisions that can be made.
At the moment i backed it for $1, and i will decide whether i want to get the game during the pledge manager after the KS is over in 2 days.
It has a modular card system that claims to have alot of replay-ability, so we shall see how this KS shakes out.

ParticipantI just watched the SUSD video, and for me it is clear that I do not need Batman in my collection (I was torn during the KS, and I ended up passing on it).
I own the Conan King Pledge with a bunch of extras, and having that game is more than enough (plus Conan games are scarce compared to Batman/comic character games).

ParticipantIn addition to playing my weekly/semi-weekly game of Memoir ’44 (currently I playing the Invasion of Crete Campaign); I dipped my toe back into D&D after a VERY LONG hiatus (I played alot of First Edition when it was out). I started playing D&D 5E as a Ranger in the Lords of Waterdeep Campaign, and I am having alot of fun with it. I forgot how fun RPG’s are when played with the right crowd!!

ParticipantI am continuing on playing Memoir 44 after work on an average of once per week. I am really enjoying the M’44 campaigns the way all the scenarios are linked together. We started with the Audie Murphy Campaign, then went on the the Battles of Khakhin Gol (of which i have only one more scenario to play); and after that we are going to start on the Vercors Campaign. I have upgraded my M’44 stuff by replacing the artillery and tanks with Axis and Allies Miniatures – so the game looks really great when set up!!

ParticipantI just played Battle of Five Armies a second time over the weekend…..what an AWESOME game!!
I also have been getting in a weekly spot of Memoir 44 with a friend after work during the week (we use the company conference room) 🙂
I also have gotten back into playing Advanced Squad Leader once a week with my old group – that game is probably a little too “hardcore” for people here!!! But it is a fantastic “granular” WW2 tactical combat game that basically is a “miniatures” game replaced with detailed cardboard counters.
