Lately have been playing more tabletop minis games : Warmachine, Core Space, Beyond the Gates of Antares.
But I still managed to squeeze in some games of Hellboy, Okko and Batman.
Nemesis is wrapping up production it seems. Shipping in 2-3 months.
Warmachine : apparently Mk.3 flows better and has less “broken” units compared to Mk.1. Apparently as I’ve never played Mk.1 before.
Nemesis has been hitting the table a lot, recently. Multi-player. Revisited Conan to brush up the mechanics for Batman.
Got in a game of Warmachine Mk.3 and finally got in a demo game of Beyond the Gates of Antares.
I think I can let you have 3 Therian Flamers. But I need to check first.
Congratulations and here’s to the next 300!
Good grief. It’s only been a year and FFG are dumping the game? Takes time to develop a base and cancelling tournaments isn’t the way to do it.
Ha. Same thing happened to my Scout. She had to get an egg back to Earth … but Big Mama came roaring after her. The Scout’s piddly gun couldn’t hurt her, but the Mechanic’s one did! After 2 rounds of combat, Big Mama ran off to lick her wounds while the 2 struggled to repair the Escape Pod hatches and Escape Pod room malfunction. To cap things off… the scout got infected with a Larva that she had to get rid of before escaping. So while the Mechanic frantically repaired, she searched for stuff to use … and was finally able to craft an antidote. Just in time!
BTW… to take a page from our esteemed leader’s book… a game play aid (but not a rules summary) is now available on BGG for your gaming pleasure 🙂
Yes. Great game. Very cinematic. Both solo games I played, played out very differently.
I like the fact that the story emerges from the gameplay and isn’t reliant on teams of text in cards or a book (although there’s nothing wrong with that either) 🙂
When I was playing Shadow War Armageddon, my Tau were basically chainsaw fodder for Space Marines. The most advanced race in 40K with the best weaponry and shooty faction saw their bullets bounce off SM armour.
And when the Marines got into melee range of the Tau (Pathfinders all) … well, I’m sure you can guess what happened.
Looks like not much has changed in Kill Team 😛
Sadly, not great value for those of us who have the 1st Ed.
1. Unknown if we can update the floppy bendy minis from 1st Ed.
2. No plans to print the errata’d cards from 1st Ed.
3. Shipping is a killer.
PP have always been tone deaf to their KS backers since their previous one and only campaign. Looks like they haven’t changed much. Sigh.
Yikes. Posture can possibly affect your ears?
I’m recently suffering from tinnitus as well. Could it be…?
Yes. I’ve held both the Kill Team starter box and the Rogue Trader box. The latter is ridiculously flimsy.
It looks like GW has discovered the trick of selling you the razor cheaply (comparatively) and making money on the blades 😛
