Hah! Sorry to dig this one out, just stumbled upon it. Will you look at that. Was afraid back then about a possible TI 4th edition and two years later it was released, indeed.

Finally got myself a pair of those Combo Coffee Mugs with maroon color. And i’ll gladly make a donation. Though i rather use the direct way than using patreon (eventhough i’m gonna miss out on those exclusives, oh well)

Well, what can i say about the closing of the forums. After all i am the most active one of all…hope you read the dripping sarcasm.
I do enjoy reading about all kinds of boardgame related things and i also do like this forum to share some things every once in a while. Often i can’t really participate in discussions, since a lot of the games are tabletop wargames and i don’t play any of them (not that i would not like it. I just don’t have any). I do enjoy to paint and see painted miniatures though. I don’t use instagram or twitter.

But do what makes you happy of course. If the forums are more of a hassle than a joy to you, then close them and make space for other thoughts.

Concerning 2020. I do not know. I am thankful for some of the rules summaries, i enjoy the battlereport/unboxing/painting videos, you got me into using foamcore and i even got myself a tablemat from deepcutstudios because of your video. Foamcore probably was how i originally discovered the order. I am open for new things, what do you have in mind?

Absolutely. I made some very good and some bad kickstarter experiences. This one at least delivers in the end (who knows if this game will ever be available retail? I sure hope so for the creators). Then there’s this one 3dprinter campaign i backed years ago….
Things like these did indeed make me more cautious when backing any kickstarter. Of course some campaigns are really worth it money-wise with all the stretchgoals they pump out (eventhough, does anyone ever play all the content you get in the end?) and then there are others that are available at retail at an even lower price making you wonder why not just wait a bit and be on the safe side. And then again it’s exciting to see where a project goes in the process.

Anyway, i played Demigods a couple more times now and can say that it is a very versatile game. You can build your own arenas and just give out everything random and have a fun time. Or go at it very competitive, which already starts in the picking phase to build your team (very close experience to a moba game, trying to counterpick the enemy while building a strong team yourself). Or anything inbetween.

Just hope those miniatures don’t take another 5 years. Was looking forward to painting them.

I can also highly recommend a Winsor & Newton (even though i like your version too UH :D) series 7; at least a 1 (not the miniature one)
    Link for ease: http://m.winsornewton.com/row/shop/brushes/water-colour/series-7-kolinsky-sable-brushes/series-7-kolinsky-sable-brush-round-short-handle-size-000-brush-5007030

And a wet palette. Making one yourself is very easy and will greatly improve the worktime and -flow.
    Here’s a nice guide to diy: http://massivevoodoo.blogspot.ch/2009/10/tutorial-wet-palette.html?m=1

As for colors i guess everyone has his own favorites. I use some GW, some army painter and some vallejo model color. Anything will be fine i guess.

Glad you found it helpful 🙂 And great that you were able to have the cards in the tray and be able to draw them!

So after one week i come back to look at everything once more…

This looks like a real bargain with so many miniatures added with SGs. Sadly the gameplay still doesn’t do it for me and i wont get into this just for the miniatures (i don’t have any other stuff i could use those in).
I’m happy for you guys 🙂 and will wait until the next cmon project.

I’m thinking about backing The Others, too. I really like the horror theme with the sins, the general idea of the different stories and also the miniatures. I don’t like the look of the tiles too much and after watching the gameplay video i’m not really sure about it. It doesn’t really look very engaging and a bit like another dice rolling fest (with which i was disappointed in once i discovered Shadows of Brimstone was one, too). There’s so much luck involved in some turns (looking at that one turn where the vampire hero just died from almost full health because of a fire token and lucky rolls, even though the heroes won in the end). As you guys pointed out, this could just be the impression of a not very well made play through.

Now that I read your opinions I think I’ll just wait another week and if I’m still excited then i might hop on.
Otherwise i will just wait for Demigods Rising (an awesome looking miniatures game) which i backed a year ago and it looks like they are finally making good progress.
