Talos63 – most of mine went in ok. A couple of the figures required a bit of cutting off the pointy ends of the pins on their legs to allow the chits to be inserted.
I wonder why FFG picked up Siege of the Citadel now after dumping their support for the previous Mutant Chronicles games they had….lured by the success of the Kickstarter I suppose and a possible RPG to replace their WH40K stuff.
FFG have a track record of picking up outside franchises (MutantChronicles, DUST, AT-43, Confrontation, Tanhausser) and then letting them sit for a while before dropping them.
Looks like FFG will be replicating all their investigators from Eldritch Horror to the 2nd Ed MoM.
The new Thrall model is a bit ordinary…..makes you with CMoN was doing the figures.
Good to see new product for this already.
Still waiting on delivery some final bits of the original Kickstarter – what a saga.
Now I’ll be able to enjoy it in my retirement/redundancy.
“Final KD:M Kickstarter Update still planned for Sept, but might slip to October.
– Lantern Festival – Still planning announcements this month, might slide to October, really hoping it won’t.
– Aya Painting Guide – Complete
– Kara Black Skin Painting Guide – Complete
– Digital Art book – Joe, Anna and I have been working on it!
– Holiday White Speaker Nico Settlement Card – Going to add this to the printed card pack (along with the cards from the recently released plastic models, that many backers already have). These will be available for cost + labor + shipping.
My intention is to have one final update for all the outstanding rewards listed above. While it was scheduled for September, a few things might push it back. Regardless, I want to ensure that Kickstarter 1 is %99.999999 wrapped before we launch Kickstarter 2.”
Noticed the local shop has the two expansions in now. Wow $85AUD each for the 1st ed & 1st box expansions of tiles and figures which would double the cost of MoMII is starting from scratch. Considering low long these have been out previously the price really does seem excessive especially when compare to the new Dead of Winter box at $100 which feels much more pack full of stuff.
Does FFG has any plans for adding those small 1st ed print on demand expansions ? They should only be a software update or addition to the game or have they already been factored into the App !
I thought the Star Spawn comes up as passable when painted but the DeepOneHybrids are atrocious and beyond any help even painted.
looks good. I need to do a small compact lift-out for the cards and tokens.
Have also gone back to painting up the 1st expansion figure at bit more too.
Kickstarter – Sieege of the Citadel 2nd edition. Mutant Chronicles boardgame.
Figures the figures appear more refined versions of the original game’s. The Razide could do with more beefing up!
Not bad $69USD for the basic game but its out September 2017.
Picked up the BIG BIG box last week. Seems to be designed to allow for the figures to stand upright inside.
Now just need to make a customer box insert to hold those small cards and tokens so I can start playing without much set up.
Started doing the recommended first scenario. Good fun so far but had top pack it away after taking photos of the board and investigator status. Noticed my game had a different entrance lobby tile selected to the one in two video play throughs but the other close attached rooms appeared so far.
The app seems to have assigned the monsters an extra health point compared to their card stats in the couple of combats so far. Also the app seems to only cater for the two 1st ed box expansions and not the five(?) little POD expansions.
The investigator figures look a bit crude compared to those of recent CMoN ones.
So far enjoying painting the Sins but I need to do some of the Faith guys.
Started on the Apocalypse figures then in a rare moment of self control put them back in their box to do the rest of the game first.
Still yet to play a game – it is actually set up on a table waiting with Pride anticipating ‘painted’ victims in the near future.
I have noticed a very slight bit of curl on a few of the map tiles though and I think the Sin turn markers could have been better with a bigger difference between the front and back.
Pretty good detail and magnificently enhanced by your brushwork.
I think you’re being over modest.
Hmmm – FFG appears to be in the grip of a resurgence of Mythos games lately. I suppose I’ll have to give this one ago too.
My Call of Cthulhu Card Game LLG is languishing in its box with a few expansions….sleeping and not even dreaming.
I wonder if we’ll see some sort of Delta Green game in the future ?
