At last my KS-copy of Brass Birmingham got on the table. Looks great and with 4 Players there is a lot to think about. First game took quite long…as expected when learning a new and complex game. Still fun and a great game. We will play again next week and experiment with new strategies πŸ™‚

It really depends on Character selection and a bit of dice….Γ€hm…draw luck πŸ˜‰ If your Characters do not fit well with the scenario your are much more likely to fail. And a nice draw at the right time can do wonders πŸ™‚

Played a 4 Player War of the Ring with one expansion. First game after sooo many years. Could barely remember the rules. Had to stop because of time and it was about half way through. Had fun…even so I played Saruman and was killed because I had no troops with him in Orthanc…now I know that there are 2 cards with the same effect that can take him out πŸ™‚ Will see what I can do in the second half of the game.

Have not played any multiplayer…but another solo game with Fallout. It completely makes buying the game obsolete. Not that I would not buy the game…but to see if it is a game you like…great!

@uthoroc What do you think…could we get this going for a game of Runewars Miniature Game???

Well…it sure looks a lot like HQ on first glance…board, furniture ect….so much that I hope they do not get into trouble with it πŸ™‚

Still the amount of unnecessary mistakes in the scenario set-ups ect point to a lack of quality-checks and is a bit disappointing. They had the opportunity for several thousand backers going through all of it before printing…and seem to have not used that…sad!

Still pondering if I should sell my stuff (got also the Dragon). I backed because I was interested in smaller scale games for some time now…but with all the other stuff I backed and bought I think I will not have enough time to get a decent amount of games in with this one.

But on the other side…the minis look good..just the wings of the Dragon are a bit disappointing in detail πŸ™ And if the game itself is good…maybe I should keep it. Will be interesting to hear your thoughts on this Uthoroc.

And if you are a late pledge then you should go to BGG for the official threat to the game. There are some components missing. Many of the Scenarios need errata ect.

Did not back it after all. With “Joan of Arc” and “OKKO” came a ridiculously huge game and a huge game…and I decided that I have enough stuff I have not had time to play yet…and even more stuff I haven’t really played more then once or twice…so spending more money and another ridiculous KS is nonsense. Reason over shiny Syndrom…I am a bit proud of my πŸ˜‰

Knight minis have been famous for their quality…if they come in a perfect cast…which they more often than not did not. Not sure they gotten better with that since they changed material…last year I think. But do you not need cards from the minis to play…or are they also free to download?

Still not sure. Looks great…I like the theme. The price is good for the amount of stuff. But will I have time to play it often? It takes up a lot of space. I am still pondering if I should sell my just arrived Joan of Arc just for the same reasons….and the fact that I am a bit disappointed about the detail on the wings of the Dragon that I was looking forward to.

Just did that…and boy am I torn right now. Although that review was a bit overboard on the funny side…man was that a terrible review. I almost cancelled my pledge right after watching it. Is it really that bad with the rules, set up and balance? I think I neither have the nerves nor the space to have a gigantic mediocre game that might feel more like a chore on my shelves.
