ParticipantJust…WOW!!!

ParticipantWelcome on board!!!

Participant3 Players is a bit tricky. Terrain becomes even more importent because most times 1 will be cought between the other 2.
My Group is still trying to figure out more Scenarios with equal win conditions for 3 or 5 players. With the controlling the stacks try the following: Devide the board into 3 equal areas…each club starts in one and has to controle the stack in the next area clockwise. The fourth is in the middle. At the end of turn each club scores points for having control of the stack in the clockwise area for 1…controling the middle one (most points in base to base for ties for example) for 2…and if you have a bigger game with more points you could give points to the club whose own stack is not under the opponents controle for 1. After a set amount of turns the one with the most points wins. Tends to avoid the 2vs1 game most 3 Player games evolve to.
Let me know what you think of it.

ParticipantSounds good. Terrain is importent…if you do not have that much…try reduceing the play area…should work reasonably well.
Van Rier is not easy to Play as a beginner…lots of synergies to be aware of…but lots of nasty stuff they can do if in sync.
Have fun!Soulsorcerer
ParticipantHow was it going?

ParticipantSomeone had a shot at translating…and some infos where from a french forum I think:
Confrontation – Resurrection takes place after the ultimate showdown. Factions are mutilated, disorganised, and roam on Aarklash seeking revenge and conquest. The armies of Light, Darkness and Destiny are tending to their wounds and preparing for new battles. Griffon, Ram, Boar, Immobilis, Sphinx, etc. Which banner will be able to gather its forces and lay waste to its foes?
From the shadows of the past to future alliances, a new chapter begins in the Confrontation.
Skirmish Game
Boardgame
Collection miniatures
Confrontation – Resurrection will consist in both a skirmish game and a boardgame, combining the pleasure of table top playing and beautiful collection miniatures. Developped by first-hour passionates, those projects are created in respect of the original work and in the continuity of the official background.
For this new journey in Aarklash, the editor rely on three pillars :
– respecting the awesome work of conceptors and artists that pleasured so much an entire generation of players and collectors.
– relying on the best expertises to produce the miniatures awaited by a demanding public.
– Listening to the great community of Confrontation(tm) players, who will be informed on a regular basis of the advancement of this new adventure.”Creating buzz for sure…but most seem sceptical at this point…

ParticipantLove Wolsung….minis, rules and Terrain are great…nice flow…interesting fluff and characterfull minis. Did take part in the KS (my first KS btw) with a huge chunk and I am happy with it.
@The8thPagan Your link goes to the complete 1. Ed with everything in it that is absolutly playable. The 2nd Ed. has some fluff, a map and 3 new Minis as new part…and only cleared some rules up and was newly edited. The Clubs remaind the same…so for actual stats/rules of the minis go to the cards that are also free to download. And there is also a character creator on the side in case you want to make your own mini.
I recomend to go over to Beast of War for some Demo games with Lukas..one of the guys from MAS…they are really well done and informative…but you have to go back a bit…I think its over 2+ years back now.
As a game it goes fast and is fluid…I like the card mechanic…it scales nicely from 2-3 minis up…and has enough depth with combos ect. to have lots of fun…and Plays best with objektives/Scenarios and medium to heavy Terrain. And I really like the minis.
Oh…and if you are interested in the fluff…there is a RPG full of it. 🙂

ParticipantInquisitor came to my mind imedietly when I saw the minis. And I think you are right UH…the scale differents makes it nearly impossible to use them for anything else than this game and a few painters…and even than its to expensive.
But exactly for all those reasons KS is probably the only place to make this “foolish” idea become reality…and strangely enough therefore is more “in tune” with the basic KS concept than all those tons of minis KS of late 😉

ParticipantHi and welcome!

ParticipantWaiting for most of my 2016 KS stuff…got 7th Sea 2nd Ed. and Dropfleet Commander….both are great.
Do back mostly for tabletop skirmishers like Wolsung/Carnevale ect. and RPG´s and I am avoiding the large board games.
Had the “lots of stuff but not much game-play-quality” feel already in 2015. Played a friends Brimstone and Zombicide and they where ok…but not that we would play them that much. Also often too time consuming in preperation. Said in another topic that the “huge piles of minis” deals tend to turn me off…just because I do not have the time to play with all of them much….and space is a Problem too…so I do not back often at all. But I bought mantics Walking dead in retail and it was fun right out of the box without preperation…great stuff!
Was waiting for WM/H 3rd to finally hop on board…but was disapointed that they did not get rid of the multiple minis with same pose in a box thing. Somehow I am not willing to pay big bugs for dublets…and have no time to convert to avoid that…so I hasitated to buy in…also was not sure of the Plastics quality…and after what I hear about 3rd I am not unhappy with that desicion.
Sticking to my skirmisher for a while longer then 🙂
And finaly….my BIG Goal for 2017…besides spending less on my hobbys and use the stuff I already have more….is GETTING STARTED WITH PAINTING. After 30+ years of silver and grey pleasure…and a lot of AT 43 and Confrontation prepainted…I really need to get that going…better late then never ;-P
Soulsorcerer
ParticipantI am also not so convinced by those huge “treys” for 3 minis….think this game would have benefitted from a smaller scale perhaps? I have no problem with lipped bases…but those giants distract me too much.
