Cthulhu Wars is pretty good and I would be tempted because I prefer a space theme, but I already have so much unplayed plastic that this and so many others will have to wait.
No issues. There’s a huge difference between “direct” and “rude”, and so much room for ambiguous interpretation in the middle
If anyone is ever in doubt they should either openly, or via PM, ask for clarification of the intent. Just like in real life.
Where do the dice come from?
Very much around in Aus. Our family doesn’t eat it regularly but we take it camping.
I lurk via a Feedly RSS feed.
You really must try Hostage Negotiator. It’s solo only and does an excellent job of capturing the escalating tension in the encounter it is simulating.March 15, 2015 at 11:05 am in reply to: Painted figures for Descent: Journeys in the Dark 2nd Edition #8999
That guy is impressive. What approach did you take to do the yellow in the grooves?
E.g. did you do the forearms in a yellow base to start with?March 12, 2015 at 12:50 pm in reply to: Painted figures for Descent: Journeys in the Dark 2nd Edition #8964

That is great work.
These posts, and MW’s “Shadows of Brimstone painted Tentacles and first painted mini” posts are inspiring and really encourage me to pick up the brush.
Similarly, Sorastro’s Star Wars video guides are also excellent – thanks for those posts UH.
I often don’t get time to post, but I do follow the forums via RSS feeds, and it is great to see and read about what everyone is working on.
It’s essential to me. A game might have great mechanics but if it is not visually appealing I find it very hard to get engaged with it.
The vice-versa is also true. The visual appeal of a game can completely swing me, even if the mechanics are similar to other games I have played.
Figured my image problem out – it’s my end.
The image hosting site being used for the images, postimg.org, is being blocked by my home network router due to it having filters on it to protect the kids. i.e. postimg.org is blacklisted by OpenDNS in one of their filter categories.
It’s not a problem on my personal PC because I use different DNS settings.
Yes, quite possible my end. They show up ok in a desktop browser.
Just not showing up in either Chrome or native “Internet” browser on Android tablet, even after “Request Desktop Site.”
I’ll poke around more.
