The First Warhammer 40,000 10th Edition Combat Patrol Battle Report!

Who needs a knife in a nuke fight anyway?

The Ultramarines try to hold off the Tyranids in this first Warhammer 40,000 10th edition battle report!

Aafter a very busy few weeks painting like a mad thing I’ve got a couple of combat patrols worth of miniatures from the new Warhammer 40,000: Leviathan boxed set table-ready, and it’s time to send them into grim conflict! I roped in my worthy opponent Dylan and a highly entertaining evening was had by all – and of course filmed so you could enjoy the game too!

I’ve gone on and on about the creakiness of the Warhammer 40,000 dice-rolling system, but it can’t be denied it’s still a very entertaining game and it sure looks spectacular. There are cinematic moments galore, and it’s still a very fun game. Sure, after years of playing tabletop miniatures games I know it could be a lot better with the benefit of modern game design, but then – well, I suppose it just wouldn’t be W40K anymore…

Enjoy the highs and lows as Dylan’s Ultramarines try to hold back my Tyranid horde. And stayed tuned, because next time we’ll be pitting the Leagues of Votann against the Necrons!
